a) Commercial non-flame retarded compounds for thin wall applications.
- Compound for flexible transparent heat-shrinkable tubing, 125 degrees Celsius operating temperature, 2:1 shrink ratio, meeting MIL-DTL-23053/5 class 2 and VG 95343 type B.
- Compound for flexible heat-shrinkable tubing, 125 degrees Celsius operating temperature, 2 and 3:1 shrink ratio, 90 degrees Celsius shrink temperature. Neutral color.
Both compounds are available in a moisture crosslinkable and an irradiation crosslinkable version.
b) Commercial flame retarded, halogen free and low smoke polyolefin compound for thin wall applications.
- Compound for flexible heat-shrinkable tubing, 125 degrees Celsius operating temperature, 2:1 shrink ratio, 95 degrees Celisus shrink temperature. Excellent printability. Neutral color.
This compound is available in a moisture crosslinkable and an irradiation crosslinkable version.
c) Flame retarded polyolefin compounds for thin wall and dual wall applications.
- Compound for very flexible heat-shrinkable tubing, 135 degrees Celsius operating temperature, 2 and 3:1 shrink ratio, 90 degrees Celsius shrink temperature, meeting UL 224, MIL-DTL-23053/5 class 1 and CSA C22.2 No 198.1. This compound is non-blooming, non-dripping and has an excellent printability for the use in heat-shrinkable marker sleeves. The neutral colored compound shows an excellent extrudability at high output rates.
- Compound for very flexible heat-shrinkable tubing, 135 degrees Celsius operating temperature, 2:1 shrink ratio, 90 degrees Celsius shrink temparature, meeting UL 224 VW-1, MIL-DTL-23053/5 class 3, CSA C22.2 No 198.1 OFT and VG 95343 Part 5 type A. The non-blooming, non dripping neutral colored compound has an excellent printability and shows an extremely high resistance to flammability.
Both compounds are available in a moisture crosslinkable and an irradiation crosslinkable version.
d) High temperature compounds for high grade applications
- Compound for flexible elastomeric heat-shrinkabkle tubing, 135 degrees Celsius operating temperature, meeting MIL-DTL-23053/1 and 1.
- Compound for flexible poly-ester elastomeric heat-shrinkable tubing, 150 degrees Celsius operating temperature, diesel resistant, meeting MIL-DTL-23053/16and VG 95343 Part 5 Type D.
- Compound for semi-rigid polyvinylidenefluoride heat-shrinkable tubing, 175 degrees Celsius operating temperature, excellent chemical and abrasion resistance, meeting MIL-DTL-23053/8 , UL 224 VW-1 and VG 95343 Part 5 Type F.
- Compound for semi-flexible polyvinylidenfluorid heat-shrinkable tubing, 175 degrees Celsius operating temparature, excellent chemical and abrasionresistance, meeting MIL-DTL-23053/18.
- Compound for flexible fluoroelatomeric heat-shrinkable tubing, 200 degrees Celsius operating temperature, superb chemical resistance, meeting MIL-DTL-23053/13 and VG 95343 Part 5 Type E.
e) Compound for medium and thick wall applications up to 1 kV
- Compound for cable sleeves for indoor and outdoor applications, for aerial, underground and direct burial installation, 110 degrees Celsius temperature, up to 4:1 shrink ratio, excellent wetahering properties. Black color.
This compound is available in a moisture crosslinkable and an irradiation crosslinkable version.
f) Compounds for applications up to 33 kV
- Compound for cable sleeves for indoor and outdoor applications, for aerial,underground and direct burial installation, up to 4:1 shrink ratio, excellent weathering properties. Black color.
- Compound for anti-tracking applications on power cables. Excellent weathering and tracking properties. Perfect compound for indoor and outdoor terminations.
- Compound for semi-conductve applications. The excellent shielding properties makes this compound very suitable
g) Other compounds
PTL is also able to supply moulding compounds for the production of heat-shrinkable end caps, cable break-outs, anti-tracking rain sheds and moulded parts for military applications, such as MIL-DTL-81765/1 and high-grade cable compounds in both thermoplastic, moisture crosslinkable and irradiation crosslinkable versions.
